The Team

LTI was formed by Bill and Cindy Downer, Jess Downer, and Katie Santon, each of whom continues to play a unique and integral role in the operations of the organization and the implementation of its projects. All of the team members have visited and lived among poor communities throughout the world, including Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Bill Downer
Chief Executive Officer

Bill leads the organizationís administration and strategic initiatives. He has a thirty-year history in the automotive industry as a technician and has received extensive training in community development and nonprofit administration.

Cindy Downer
Quality Assurance Officer

Cindy Downer has an Associate of Science degree from Central Oregon Community College. In addition to her involvement in LTI, Cindy has over 20 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist and editor, and currently works part-time in the travel industry.

Jess Downer, CFA
Chief Financial Officer

Jess leads LTIís accounting and financial planning activities, and provides guidance on strategic initiatives. He also has over seven years of experience in private equity investment analysis and currently works with Meketa Investment Group. Jess graduated in 2002 from the University of Puget Sound with an emphasis in Finance.

Kate Santon
Board Member

Kate is a practicing lawyer at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, where she specializes in complex commercial litigation. She received a J.D. from the University of San Diego in 2009, and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2006.
